Living is not only sports, carnivals, dancing and beaches! It is also food. While going to Brazil you will feel how it is to be in heaven of great food and wonderful drinks. For example very exotic juices are available in abundance - not only from avocado, passion fruit or papaya but also fruits that don't exist any other place like acai and guarana. As it comes to cuisine the types of dishes depend on the region. For example the national dish in Rio is feijoada slow cooker uk ( black bean stew, with cuttings of pork and with a slice of orange) while in other regions there are different opinions in this subject.
There is a huge lobby with a receptionist on display, which instantly makes me feel inadequate. They actually have a large restaurant to one side that serves lunch, but it's still a little off putting to see someone standing there when you enter the building, especially if you're only trying to get to the store and wine tasting room like we were. The meals there are pretty reasonable priced though and you can get out spending less brazilian Feijoada than per person.
We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is quite elegant and serene. Warm wood walls, marble floors and dim lighting. The soaring ceilings and "loft" gave the room a feel of a 1940's dinner club. Even though we went at six o'clock, which is quite early for a New York dinner, there were quite a few parties seated. Our server was knowledgeable and when he heard about my dairy allergy he had the busboy bring over a basket of just out of the oven "safe" breads and drinks, promising to return momentarily with dinner suggestions.
For one of the largest collections of historical artifacts and ceramics slow cooker Feijoada journey over to the exquisite architectural wonder of Museo Rafael Larco Herrera which is a eighteenth century mansion turned to museum. Textiles of all types are within as well some with extravagant weaving patterns of the early days.
Open daily from 11AM-10PM, this restaurant, which opened in 1973, tends to be a tourist hotspot in Chinatown, where customers are greeted with colorful fish tanks when they enter.
Last but certainly not least, visit the Bar Lagoa, a gorgeous art deco bar with pink marble walls feijoada carioca a small balcony. Expect to find grumpy and indolent waiters, but they are part of the bar's so-called "charm". Make sure that you order a steak sandwich, it's delicious.
